Promotion and Outreach

The Pesticides Control Board (PCB) is dedicated to effectively disseminating information to the farming community and the public through our outreach efforts.

  • Pesticide Awareness Sessions: We conduct informative sessions in primary and vocational schools to educate students about the safe use and handling of pesticides, fostering a culture of safety from an early age.

  • Participation in Fairs and Events: The PCB actively participates in national and local fairs, setting up booths to engage with the community. Our team is available to answer questions, provide resources, and share valuable information about pesticide safety.

  • Pesticide Awareness Week: We organize a series of activities during Pesticide Awareness Week to highlight the importance of responsible pesticide use. These events aim to raise awareness and encourage best practices among farmers and the public.

  • Social Media Engagement: Our social media platforms serve as a vital tool for reaching a broader audience. We share informative content, updates, and tips related to pesticide safety, ensuring that the community stays informed and engaged.

  • Brochures and Flyers: We create and distribute brochures and flyers containing essential information about pesticides, safe handling practices, and regulatory guidelines. These materials are designed to be user-friendly and accessible to all.

  • Media Appearances: The PCB also engages with the public through TV and radio appearances, where we discuss important topics related to pesticide safety and answer questions from the community.

Through these initiatives, the PCB aims to enhance public understanding of pesticides, promote safe practices, and ensure a healthier environment for all.
